Political strategist James Carville, who successfully managed Bill Clinton’s campaign for president, now admits that he was wrong in believing that Kamala Harris would win the election. He goes even further. He now compares the presidential election to the Super Bowl and compares Kamala Harris to the Democrat’s 7th string quarterback.
That is exactly how I saw it. I have a friend who wasn’t going to vote. He for sure wasn’t going to vote for Trump. I said, just watch Kamala Harris. She can’t answer a question. We cannot let her win.
Combine that with President Obama scolding young black men for failure to be excited to vote for Harris. In other words, black men must vote for the person Carville now sees as a 7th string quarterback, because she is a woman.
How is that NOT an example of DEI under Obama/Biden?
Trump is said to be a misogynist, a person who dislikes, despises, or is strongly prejudiced against women. Is that fair? Let’s look at the record.
In the 2016 election, Trump had two male campaign managers. He ultimately hired a woman, Kellyanne Conway. She successfully managed his campaign and became the first woman to manage a successful presidential campaign.
Okay. What about 2020? Trump returned to using men as campaign managers. He lost.
Okay. What about 2024? Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita co-managed the campaign. Susie Wiles is now President Trump’s Chief of Staff. The first woman ever to have that role.
Notice the difference. Under Obama/Biden we were told to vote for a black woman. We were to ignore policy. We were to ignore talent. We were to ignore the fact that she was the 7th string quarterback. That was DEI.
Under Trump, women of merit get the top roles. They don’t get the roles because they are women. The get the roles because they are good. That is the difference between DEI and merit.
I hope to see more and more minority people get promoted to positions of power, not because we need minority representation in those positions, because they are the best at what they do.
Excellent article. "Common sense!"
